Kuwait University President Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem Receives a Delegation from the Society of Petroleum Engineers at Kuwait University to Discuss Academic and Research Collaboration

As part of Kuwait University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its academic standing through engagement and the exchange of expertise with Arab and international institutions, the President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, received a delegation from the Colorado School of Mines, represented by Prof. Jennifer Miskimins, Executive Director of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and Ms. Jackie Hoffmann, Regional Director of SPE for the Middle East and North Africa.

The meeting was attended by Acting Secretary-General of Kuwait University Dr. Bader Ahmad Al-Jasser Al-Rajhi, Vice President for Research Prof. Abdullah Jawad Sultan, Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration and Consulting Dr. Mabkhout Al-Dosari, Assistant Vice President for Campus Planning Dr. Majid Abdulrazzaq Majid, Chair of the Department of Petroleum Engineering Dr. Mishal Al-Gharaib, and faculty members from the department, Prof. Eisa Al-Safran and Dr. Mohammad Al-Abdullah.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on research matters and explore avenues of collaboration between Kuwait University and American universities. It served as a prelude to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties, in addition to discussions on student exchange programs and potential academic and scientific cooperation in various research areas.
