Under the patronage of the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Sports Activities Department at Kuwait University organized the University Colleges Football Championship, with the support and sponsorship of the Public Authority for Sport and in partnership with Tam Bank. The tournament was held from 12 to 17 February 2026 at the university’s sports fields.
The tournament witnessed the participation of 20 teams representing Kuwait University students, with a total of 250 players. The preliminary rounds were conducted in a league format, followed by knockout stages in the elimination rounds, all within a well-organized framework and an atmosphere full of excitement and sportsmanship.
The tournament was marked by strong competition among the teams and a clear closeness in technical performance levels. It also featured the participation of several players from the Kuwaiti national team and local sports clubs, which contributed to raising the technical standard of the tournament and enhancing its competitive spirit.
The Sports Activities Department affirmed that this tournament aligns with the university’s vision of promoting student sports activities, reinforcing national values, supporting young athletic talent, and fostering a healthy and competitive university environment—ultimately contributing to the development of a well-rounded generation that combines academic excellence, national belonging, and athletic distinction.
