Research Interests

I work on contemporary philosophy, with a particular interest in Michel Foucault's thought and broader concerns related to ethics and the historical formation of the self in Islamic contexts.

My research employs the genealogical method to explore ethical transformations within the Islamic tradition, mainly as expressed through jurisprudence, moral conduct, and self-mastery practices. I also engage with questions of hermeneutics, knowledge, and power, seeking to understand how intellectual and social structures have shaped distinct modes of subjectivity.

I am also interested in Nietzsche's works, feminist philosophy, and social philosophy.
