KUWAIT UNIVERSITY, FACULTY OF ARTS, DEPARTMENT OF FRENCH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE, KUWAIT
French Language Lecturer - within the Faculty, I teach credited beginners to intermediate French courses to Kuwaiti undergraduate students.

French Language - I taught a 5-hours-a-day intensive French language course for beginners. After two semesters, Emirati military students reached a command of French good enough to take the DELF (the official French language diploma issued by the French authorities). 100% of my students passed the DELF (level A1 or A2). My familiarity with Arab culture and language enables me to tailor the course around the needs and specificities of the students. I designed multiple multimedia activities and testing materials to be used in the classroom and the lab. The course I gave was well balanced, carefully designed, and delivered excellent results.

English Language - Military program: I’ve taught grammar (level 1-2), American Language Course Placement Test (ALCPT) vocabulary (level 2-3), listening (level 1-2-3), military English (level 2-3-4), computer classes (all levels); ADCO: business English (level 2); ADNOC: mixed-skills classes (level 1). I contributed to the latest editions of the ALCPT Vocabulary and Grammar books by designing part of the activities.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES UNIVERSITY, FACULTY OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES, UAE 1999-2004 French Language Lecturer: within the Faculty, I taught credited beginners to advanced French courses to Emirati undergraduate students on both male and female campuses. I also taught twice a week evening classes for the community (to professors, teaching assistants, and staff) at the University social club.

FRENCH EMBASSY, DEPARTMENT OF COOPERATION AND CULTURAL ACTION, UAE 1999-2004 
Project Manager and French language Expert: to set-up a French Department at UAE University, I wrote the first project which was validated and funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I designed a French BA program (study plan, course descriptions, credit-hours distribution, and textbooks) according to university regulations, and I took part in the negotiations leading to the September 2004 official opening of the French Department.

I also assisted the authorities in the organisation of cooperation projects between France and UAEU in the fields of political sciences, medicine, agronomy, law, and engineering: visits by French representatives, invitations of Emirati university officials to France, lectures, selection and training of French-scholarship recipients.
I monitored the teaching of French in private schools in the city of Al Ain: I was the head of the examination centre for the DELF (French language certificate), I wrote part of the exam materials, and I provided counselling and teaching materials to French language teachers in private schools.

ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE OF ABU DHABI (ABU DHABI FRENCH CULTURAL INSTITUTE), UAE 1999-2002 
Coordinator of the Al Ain branch of the Abu Dhabi Alliance Française: I set up the branch from scratch. I supervised volunteer staff in setting up and running a library and resource centre located at the Hilton Al Ain, I managed the language school and taught some of the French classes myself. I organised cultural events (concerts, exhibitions, film club, literary events), and promoted the Alliance Française throughout the city.
