1 year 2 monthsDr. Hani Alsarraf is a distinguished scholar and consultant specializing in public administration and policy analysis. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Cleveland State University, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Kuwait University. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Administration at Kuwait University.
Dr. Alsarraf brings extensive professional experience to his academic role. He served as a member of the Special Task Force responsible for shaping the vision and strategy of the Diwan of the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait. He also contributed to capacity-building initiatives at the Kuwait Public Policy Center through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). In addition, Dr. Alsarraf worked as a consultant for the National Observatory Center for Sustainable Development and Future Foresight, and was a member of the Experts’ Team tasked with evaluating national plan proposals at the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development. Additionally, he served for nearly a decade on the Technical Team of the Kuwait National Competitiveness Committee, which operates in partnership with the World Economic Forum.
His research interests include ethics, transparency, and governance in public service; the public policy process and analysis; knowledge-based economy and information and communication technologies (ICT) in public organizations. He has authored several book chapters and published numerous scholarly articles on these themes. In parallel, he has delivered a variety of training programs for public and private institutions on topics such as public policy analysis, ethical decision-making, organizational communication, and leadership development for public managers.
