
Dr. Mariam Alkheder is an accomplished pediatric dentist and assistant professor at Kuwait University. A proud graduate of Kuwait University, she earned her Bachelor of Medical sciences in Dentistry (B.Med.Sc.(Dent.)) in 2014 and Bachelor of Dental Medicine (BDM) in 2016. Following her passion for pediatric and special health care need dentistry, Dr. Alkheder pursued advanced training at Loma Linda University, completing her post graduate training in Pediatric Dentistry in 2021 and earning her Master of Science degree in 2023.
Dr. Alkheder is a board-certified pediatric dentist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and a Fellow of the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD). She currently serves as a council member of the International Association for Dental Research (Kuwait Division) and as a member of the Education Committee of the International Association of Dental Traumatology.
As a full-time faculty member in the Department of Developmental and Preventive Sciences at Kuwait University’s College of Dentistry, Dr. Alkheder is dedicated to advancing dental education and fostering research excellence. Her academic interests include dental trauma, dental materials, and dental education.
Dr. Alkheder is an active member of national and international professional organizations, contributing to the global advancement of pediatric dentistry. Her dedication to teaching, research, and professional service underscores her commitment to shaping the next generation of dental professionals and improving pediatric dental care worldwide.
