
As part of Kuwait University’s ongoing scientific and cultural role, and in line with its aspirations to build robust academic, cultural, and research ties, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs and Acting Vice President for Academic Support Services, Prof. Mohammad Ali Al-Mulla, welcomed Mr. Sanjay Muluka, Deputy Head of Mission and representative of the Indian Embassy, on behalf of His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Adarsh Swaika, at Sabah Al-Salem University City to discuss developments in academic cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was initiated with Prof. Al-Mulla welcoming the visiting delegation and reaffirming Kuwait University’s commitment to expanding scientific and cultural cooperation with countries around the world, particularly within the framework of student exchange. He emphasized the importance of joint academic programs with Indian public universities, especially regarding undergraduate student exchanges and the latest developments in academic research and scientific advancement.
In turn, Mr. Sanjay, the representative of the Indian Embassy, expressed his sincere appreciation for the academic and cultural cooperation with Kuwait University, and his interest in enhancing scientific exchange to elevate academic and research excellence. He also expressed his hope to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.
The visit served as a platform for exchanging ideas on potential avenues for academic and cultural collaboration, including the hosting of students and researchers at Kuwait University. Mr. Sanjay voiced a desire to increase academic seats in Islamic studies, as well as in core scientific fields such as medicine and engineering in the future. Prof. Al-Mulla also highlighted the contribution of Indian companies in developing Kuwait’s infrastructure, which opened the door to exploring further coordination and research collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
