
In line with Kuwait University’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and provide a safe and comfortable campus environment, the Security and Safety Department has launched the Internal Electric Transportation Project at Sabah Al-Salem University City. The initiative aims to facilitate movement within the campus through safe and environmentally friendly transportation methods.
As part of this initiative, the Security and Safety Department organized a portable information booth that will tour various colleges starting Sunday and continuing throughout the week. The campaign aimed to familiarize university affiliates with the details and objectives of the Internal Electric Transportation Project. The event was attended by the Director of the Security and Safety Department at Kuwait University, Mr. Yousif Yaqoub Al-Khamees, the Administrative Director at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Mr. Hamad Bouqammaz, and Acting Administrative Director at the College of Science, Ms. Fatima Al-Naqeeb.
In this context, Mr. Yousif Yaqoub Al-Khamees, Director of the Security and Safety Department at Kuwait University, explained that the media campaign for this new strategic project officially began today, with its activities launched at the College of Engineering and Petroleum and the College of Science, and will continue for three days. He noted that the purpose of the campaign is to invite all university affiliates to learn about this vital project, which serves students, faculty members, and staff by providing an easy, safe, and fast means of transportation within the campus. He also emphasized that the project is environment friendly, which contributes to the sustainability of the university’s services.
Through this project, Kuwait University reaffirms its continuous commitment to adopting sustainable initiatives that enhance the quality of campus life and reflect its vision of providing a modern, safe, and advanced educational environment—one that meets the needs of students, faculty, and staff, while aligning with global trends toward green mobility and environmentally friendly solutions.
