
Under the patronage and in the presence of Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Dr. Adel Malallah, the College of Engineering and Petroleum inaugurated on Monday, 15 September 2025, the third edition of the Training and Qualification Program for Engineering Contract Management. The program, which extends over seven weeks until 30 October 2025, is organized in collaboration with the Office of the Vice Dean for Planning, Consultation, and Training and is sponsored by the Public Authority for Youth.
At the opening, Dr. Adel Malallah, Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, welcomed the attendees, expressing his hopes that the training program will serve as a strong step toward achieving objectives and developing skills.
The program has witnessed high demand from participants across various engineering disciplines, reflecting their interest in specializing as engineers and managers of engineering contracts.
The curriculum covers the documentation process for the stages of developmental projects, including the pre-design stage, design stage, tendering and award stage, implementation stage, and post-implementation stage. The program also features field visits to several major developmental projects currently underway in Kuwait and concludes with an examination qualifying participants to work as certified Contracts Engineers accredited by the College of Engineering and Petroleum.
Training and lectures are delivered by a group of trainers, lecturers, and public entities, under the supervision of Dr. Hashem Al-Tabtabaei from the Department of Civil Engineering at Kuwait University.
