
Prof. Nader Al-Jallal: Kuwait University’s top achievers are a pride for the nation and a role model to follow.

Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nader Abdullah Al-Jallal, Kuwait University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized an honoring ceremony for the top outstanding students in the university’s colleges for the academic year 2023/2024. The event took place on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Conference Center Theater in Sabah Al-Salem University City, in the presence of Kuwait University President Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, Acting Dean of Student Affairs Prof. Jassim Mohammed Al-Hamdan, several deans of colleges, university leadership, parents, and under the strategic sponsorship of Kuwait Finance House.
The ceremony honored 224 students from various scientific and humanities disciplines, amid a festive atmosphere filled with pride and admiration for the academic excellence and distinction achieved by the students.
On this occasion, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nader Al-Jallal, congratulated his students, the outstanding male and female students from various Kuwait University colleges for the academic year 2023/2024, on their recognition during the annual ceremony organized by the university to celebrate their excellence.
His Excellency affirmed that this excellence is the result of continuous effort and diligent work, reflecting the ambition and determination of the students, pointing out that this elite group represents a source of pride for Kuwait and a role model in scientific achievement and academic excellence.
The Minister expressed his happiness at Kuwait University’s participation in this distinguished ceremony, appreciating its continuous efforts in supporting students and providing a motivating educational environment for success and excellence. He also praised the efforts of parents and faculty members who played an active role in achieving this honorable success.
Al-Jallal added: “Supporting and sponsoring outstanding students is among the priorities of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stemming from our belief that investing in young minds is the cornerstone of building Kuwait’s future and enhancing its competitiveness regionally and internationally.”
In conclusion, His Excellency the Minister extended his gratitude and appreciation to Kuwait University and everyone who contributed to supporting and honoring this distinguished group of Kuwait’s outstanding sons and daughters.
In her speech on the occasion, Kuwait University Director Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem expressed her great happiness in honoring a distinguished elite of the university’s students, saying:
“On this day, it pleases me to warmly welcome you to Sabah Al-Salem University City to honor a distinguished elite of top achievers for the academic year 2023/2024, in recognition of their efforts and academic excellence, and to affirm Kuwait University’s mission in supporting a culture of excellence.”
She added: “You have been a role model in diligence and hard work, and this celebration reflects Kuwait’s shining hallmark and its solid scientific standing in a competitive world led by science and knowledge. I extend my gratitude to the faculty members and parents, and I encourage our students to continue this excellence and actively contribute to building their homeland.”
Acting Dean of Student Affairs Prof. Jassim Mohammed Al-Hamdan gave a speech saying:
“I welcome you all today to Kuwait University on the occasion of the honoring ceremony for the top outstanding students for the academic year 2023/2024, numbering 224 students from various university colleges. Kuwait University has attained a high status as a beacon of knowledge , a field of innovation, and has presented the community with a distinguished group of achievers whom we celebrate today with pride.”
He added: “Academic excellence is the result of great effort, intellectual distinction, discipline, and awareness. It is complete only when adorned by noble character and humane spirit. So, be as you are today, distinguished by your minds and values, for you are Kuwait’s hope and the makers of its bright future. I also extend sincere thanks to the parents, partners in this achievement, and my colleagues at the Deanship of Student Affairs for the excellent organization of this ceremony.”
Also, student Noor Abdullah Al-Lanqawi delivered the speech on behalf of the outstanding students, expressing gratitude for the support provided by the university and faculty members, affirming that this achievement is the fruit of joint ambition and effort. She said:
“This excellence is not just a number; it is a journey of overcoming challenges, driven by ambition and fueled by determination.”
She concluded her speech by urging her peers to hold on to their dreams and move steadily and faithfully towards their goals, affirming that success is made, not given, and that the future is made by those who believe in themselves and persevere.
This ceremony comes as part of the efforts of the Deanship of Student Affairs to support outstanding students and motivate them to continue their distinguished academic journey, reflecting Kuwait University’s commitment to preparing promising generations that confidently and competently lead the country’s future.
