The College of Allied Health Sciences and the College of Pharmacy Organize HSC Trivia to Promote Interprofessional Collaboration in the Health Professions
The Interprofessional Education Committee at the College of Allied Health Sciences, in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy, organized the HSC Trivia event (Q&A Competition), with the participation of students and members of the academic and supporting staff from various health disciplines across the two colleges.
The event witnessed broad student participation and was structured as an interactive competition aimed at enhancing understanding of the roles and responsibilities of different health professions, while linking theoretical concepts to practical application within an interactive, team-based learning environment. The competitive format contributed to fostering a positive atmosphere that encouraged knowledge exchange and teamwork among participants.
On this occasion, Dr. Zainab Jassim, Chair of the Interprofessional Education Committee and faculty member in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the College of Allied Health Sciences, expressed her pleasure at the success of the event. She emphasized that organizing such activities aligns with the Committee’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the principles of interprofessional education and to promote a culture of collaborative practice among health disciplines, given its direct impact on enhancing effective communication and improving the quality of healthcare delivery.
Dr. Zainab Jassim extended her appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of the event, including participants and organizers, as well as Committee members: Dr. Danah Al-Sane (Department of Pharmacy Practice), Dr. Anfal Yousef (Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences), Dr. Hamad Al-Hamad (Department of Occupational Therapy), Dr. Asseel Khalaf (Department of Radiologic Sciences), Dr. Eman Al-Saqabi (Department of Physical Therapy), and Ms. Hanadi Al-Humaidi (Department of Health Informatics and Information Management).
