MILSET Asia in Kuwait honored the university administration and the academic staff of the Physics Department at the College of Science in recognition of their efforts in ensuring the success of the Fifth Annual Scientific Conference for Outstanding High School Students in Physics. The conference was held under the theme “Space Science and Sustainable Development: A Kuwaiti Student Vision” at Sabah Al-Salem University City, with the aim of enhancing scientific research and innovation skills and linking High School education with the university and research environment.
In this context, the Vice President for Academic Support Services at Kuwait University and Regional Head of the MILSET Asia organization, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutawa, expressed his pride in the academic level demonstrated by the faculty members of the Physics Department at the College of Science. He praised their role in enriching the conference through the delivery of high-quality workshops that contributed to developing students’ skills and refining their creative abilities. He affirmed that this event represents a successful model of collaboration among educational institutions and reflects the importance of integrating efforts between general and higher education.
He also noted that this participation is an extension of the university’s role in supporting scientific excellence and fostering a culture of research and innovation among students, thereby contributing to the preparation of a generation capable of keeping pace with scientific and technological advancements.
At the conclusion of the event, the university administration and the academic staff of the Physics Department at the College of Science were honored, including the Acting Dean of the College of Science at Kuwait University, Prof. Haidar Sayed Behbehani; the Acting Head of the Physics Department, Dr. Hala Al-Jassar; and faculty members Dr. Nasser Bourhama, Dr. Yahya Al-Momen, Dr. Fahad Zaman, Rawa Al-Enezi, and Ibrahim Al-Sulaimani, in appreciation of their scientific contributions and efforts in supporting the educational and research process and promoting the presence of scientific disciplines among outstanding students. This was part of an organizational partnership with the Ministry of Education, represented by the Science Technical Guidance Department, and with active participation from Kuwait University.
