Kuwait University Council Holds Its Fourth Meeting Chaired by the University President

  • The Council approved three student exchange agreements and two memoranda of understanding between Kuwait University and Jean Moulin Lyon University in France; between Kuwait University and Goethe University Frankfurt in Germany; between Kuwait University and Rennes School of Business in France; between Kuwait University and IE University in Spain;
    and a memorandum of understanding between Kuwait University and the Queen Rania Teacher Academy in Jordan;
    and a memorandum of understanding between Kuwait University and Al-Jarida Newspaper.

     

Kuwait University President Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem chaired the fourth meeting of the University Council (No. 04/2025) on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, which was held at the University Council Meeting Hall in Sabah Al-Salem University City, in the presence of the Council members.

At the outset, Prof. Al-Mailem initiated the meeting by extending congratulations on the occasion of the new academic year 2025/2026, and welcomed the attendees to the fourth meeting to discuss the items listed on the agenda.

The Council approved the minutes of the third meeting (No. 03/2025) held on August 3, 2025.

In a statement following the meeting, Acting Secretary-General and Official Spokesperson of Kuwait University, Prof. Nourah Ahmad Al-Suwaih, stated that the University Council approved authorizing the University President to form committees for the selection of deans of colleges and specialized deanships, as well as approving the scholarship plan for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Prof. Al-Suwaih added that the University Council approved three student exchange agreements and two memoranda of understanding between Kuwait University and Jean Moulin Lyon University in France; between Kuwait University and Goethe University Frankfurt in Germany; between Kuwait University and Rennes School of Business in France; and between Kuwait University and IE University in Spain.

Furthermore, the Council approved a memorandum of understanding between Kuwait University and the Queen Rania Teacher Academy in Jordan, as well as a memorandum of understanding between Kuwait University and Al-Jarida Newspaper.
