President of Kuwait University Receives Delegation from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) and the European School of Management and Technology Berlin (ESMT Berlin) to Discuss Prospective Academic Partnerships

The President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, received a high-level delegation from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) and the European School of Management and Technology Berlin (ESMT Berlin), during an exploratory visit held in anticipation of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions. The meeting took place on Sunday, 23 November 2025, at Sabah Al-Salem University City.
From the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, the visit was attended by the Director General, Dr. Ameenah Rajab Farhan. From ESMT Berlin, the delegation included Prof. Jörg Rocholl, President of ESMT Berlin; Prof. Harald Hungenberg, Dean of Programs; and Dr. Thorsten Lambertus, Executive Director of the DEEP Institute for Technology Innovation. The discussions focused on exploring future avenues of cooperation in executive education, applied research, and innovation.
The meeting was also attended on behalf of Kuwait University by the Acting Secretary-General of the University and Vice President for Health Sciences, Prof. Nourah Al-Suwaih; Vice President for Planning and Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Osama Al-Omair; Vice President for Research, Prof. Abdullah Jawad; Vice President for Academic Support Services, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutawa; Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs – Academic Development, Prof. Huda Mahmoud; and Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration and Consultation Dr. Mabkhout Al-Dousari.
Prof. Al-Mailem discussed with the delegation ways to expand cooperation between Kuwait University and KFAS, and to strengthen academic and research partnerships in executive education, applied research, and national capacity-building—contributing to the advancement of the academic environment and supporting professional development pathways across the University.
During their tour of the Colleges of Business Administration and Science, the delegation was introduced to Sabah Al-Salem University City and briefed on the academic, research, and educational facilities provided by Kuwait University, along with the ongoing development projects aimed at enriching the learning environment and reinforcing a culture of innovation.
This visit reflects Kuwait University’s commitment to engaging with distinguished international institutions, leveraging global expertise to enhance the quality of education and scientific research, and advancing the University’s role in innovation and development.
