The President of Kuwait University Receives the Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to the State of Kuwait

 

In Support of Research Collaboration and Strengthening Cultural and Academic Relations Between the Two Countries

 

The President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, received His Excellency Prof. George Said Zammit, Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to the State of Kuwait, in the presence of Dr. Sulaiman Al-Rafee, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs for Evaluation and Measurement. The meeting took place during a cordial visit on Monday, 15 December 2025, at Sabah Al-Salem University City, during which the latest academic and research developments were discussed in a manner that supports the enhancement of cultural and knowledge exchange between the two countries.

In this context, Prof. Al-Mailem affirmed that the visit falls within the framework of reviewing recent academic, research, and scientific developments, as well as exploring avenues for strengthening academic cooperation between Kuwait University and public universities in the Republic of Malta, with the aim of supporting research collaboration and consolidating cultural and academic relations between the two countries.

For his part, Prof. Zammit expressed his great pleasure and pride in visiting Kuwait University, voicing his hope for the establishment of further fruitful partnerships in the academic and research fields that would contribute to advancing knowledge development for both sides.

In a related context, Prof. Osama Ali Al-Omair, Vice President for Planning and Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, also received His Excellency the Ambassador. During the meeting, they reviewed key points aimed at developing academic relations between the two parties and discussed issues related to student exchange and academic research, in addition to the University’s interest in expanding academic partnerships between Kuwait University and educational institutions.
