Kuwait University announced that the University President, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, has issued a number of decisions to form committees to select deans for several of the University’s colleges, as part of her commitment to supporting academic and administrative work and advancing institutional development.
In a statement issued today, the University said that committees have been formed for the College of Business Administration, the College of Science, the College of Dentistry, and the College of Architecture. It noted that, in forming the committees, consideration was given to the diversity of academic and specialized expertise represented among their members, in a manner that enhances the objectivity of their work and supports the selection process in accordance with the approved regulations, rules, and laws.
The University affirmed that this step is aligned with its strategic direction toward strengthening governance and reinforcing standards of quality and transparency. It further noted that, in accordance with the frameworks and regulations governing the process, committees to select deans for the remaining colleges will be formed successively, supporting the continued development of the academic and research framework, and contributing to the achievement of the University’s objectives.
