
Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, President of Kuwait University, received Her Excellency Karen Sasahara, Ambassador of the United States of America to the State of Kuwait, along with Ms. Inga Litvinsky, Cultural Attaché; Dr. Fareed Abbas Mohamed, Cultural and Media Advisor; and Ms. Shaimaa Ahmed Ibrahim, Cultural Affairs Specialist – Leadership Programs.
The meeting was held at Sabah Al-Salem University City, in the presence of Prof. Noura Ahmad Al-Suwaieh, Vice President for Health Sciences; Prof. Abdullah Jawad Ali Sultan, Vice President for Research; and Prof. Mohammad Ali Al-Mulla, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs and Acting Vice President for Academic Support Services.
The visit aimed to explore avenues for academic and cultural cooperation between Kuwait University and U.S. universities, with the goal of enhancing bilateral relations through student exchange, joint programs, and mutual awareness of the latest academic developments as well as key scientific and cultural advancements.
Her Excellency Ambassador Karen Sasahara expressed her great pleasure at visiting Kuwait University, describing it as a distinguished academic institution in the State of Kuwait. She noted that the visit falls within the framework of efforts to further strengthen academic cooperation between Kuwait University and higher education institutions in the United States.
