Under the patronage of Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jassem Al-Hamdan, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Kuwait University, represented by the Department of Cultural and Artistic Activities, organized the Student Art Exhibition from May 29 to 31, 2025, at The Avenues Mall.
The exhibition marked a significant artistic event showcasing over 100 diverse creative artworks produced by university students and faculty members. The pieces included abstract and contemporary paintings, photographic art, and Arabic calligraphy, reflecting the participants’ aesthetic awareness and expressive capabilities. The event also highlighted the richness of artistic talent within Kuwait University.
Organizers ensured a professionally curated exhibition layout, presenting the artworks in an attractive and visually engaging manner, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the visual messages conveyed.
The exhibition also featured the presence of renowned Kuwaiti artists, who conducted live demonstrations in caricature art and calligraphy. Their interactive presentations captured the attention of visitors of all ages and backgrounds, while offering students valuable opportunities to engage in dialogue with experienced artists and creative professionals.
On this occasion, Supervisor of the Department of Cultural and Artistic Activities, Ms. Naifa Al-Shammari, expressed her pride in the students’ level of participation and the creativity displayed. She stated:
“This exhibition represents one of the true outcomes of artistic activity within the university. It showcases the remarkable talents and artistic potential of our students, who deserve support and recognition. Through this event, we aim to strengthen the bridge between the university and the wider community, foster public artistic appreciation, and enhance the aesthetic sensibility of the students themselves.”
She added:
“The choice of The Avenues Mall as the venue was intentional—it allows the university’s creative message to reach a broader audience and offers students a unique platform to present their work in a public and accessible setting.”
This exhibition is part of an ongoing series of artistic and cultural events organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs throughout the academic year, in line with its vision to support talented students and foster a university environment that encourages creativity, distinction, and personal development, while expanding students’ cultural and intellectual horizons.
