The Acting Dean of Admission and Registration at Kuwait University, Dr. Fadel Abbas Aziz, announced that the application period for admission to Kuwait University for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year will be open to eligible international students wishing to study at their own expense.
The application period will run from Friday, January 23, 2026, until Monday, January 26, 2026, 10:00 a.m. This applies to graduates of the Unified System, Religious Institute, American schools, and British schools.
Graduates of schools within the State of Kuwait may submit their applications electronically, while applicants holding certificates issued outside Kuwait must submit their applications in person at the Admission Office, University Administration Building, Sabah Al-Salem University City, during official working hours within the announced period.

Verifying Eligibility to Apply Electronically
He added that if an applicant is unable to access the system to submit an application, an electronic link will appear directing the applicant to instructions and guidelines that must be followed. Admission is conditional upon the accuracy of the submitted information.
Applicants may also visit the Admission Office at the University Administration Building during official working hours within the announced period for inquiries.
Equivalency of International English Language Tests
Dr. Fadel Abbas Aziz noted that results of TOEFL PBT, TOFEL IBT or IELTS may be considered as an alternative to the Academic Aptitude Test in English when calculating the equivalent admission score, provided that results are submitted before the end of the application period.
These results may also be used for exemption from the preparatory English course, provided that the test results are submitted during the admission approval period and no later than the end of the first week of classes in the semester for which the student is admitted.

He added that applicants must review their admission application to identify the required documents. The University reserves the right to cancel the admission of any student who fails to submit the required documents or if any submitted information is found to be inaccurate, in accordance with Kuwait University’s Admission and Transfer Regulations.
