Kuwait University, represented by the Security and Safety Department, has launched a mobile car repair service to serve its affiliates, effective Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Sabah Al-Salem University City, as part of its efforts to provide supporting services that help facilitate the affairs of the University community.

In this regard, the Director of the Security and Safety Department at Kuwait University, Mr. Yousef Al-Khamis, stated that Kuwait University is the first educational institution in the State of Kuwait to introduce such a mobile service for students and academic and administrative staff, offering a special discount through a contract with a specialized car repair and maintenance company. This initiative reflects Kuwait University’s commitment to providing a supportive educational and professional environment by offering quality services that enhance comfort and promote safety for all University members.

Al-Khamis explained that the services provided by the mobile workshop include tire repair and replacement, tire balancing, oil changes, battery replacement, brake maintenance, in addition to a towing service. He emphasized the importance of presenting a valid university ID when requesting the service in order to benefit from the designated discount.

It is worth noting that the service is available from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. To request the service, members may contact 50551111, while the University has designated 24983333 as the emergency hotline for the Security and Safety Department.
