In line with its commitment to enhancing students’ readiness for the labor market, the College of Law organized a seminar entitled “Beyond University”, attended by a number of students and individuals interested in legal affairs. The seminar was held on Monday, 9 February 2026, during the university break period, at the College of Law Theater.
The seminar featured the participation of Dr. Mohammed Al-Mutairi, Faculty Member in the Department of Private Law; Dr. Ibrahim Al-Sharqawi, Director of the Specialized Training Center at the General Department of Investigations; Mr. Qutaiba Al-Dabbous, State Attorney at the Fatwa and Legislation Department; and Mr. Mishal Al-Khanah, Vice President of the Kuwait Lawyers Association for Professional Companies Affairs.
The seminar addressed practical experiences and career pathways following graduation. The speakers shared their professional experiences in the labor market, highlighted available opportunities for law graduates in both the public and private sectors, and discussed key requirements for professional success, as well as the main challenges graduates may encounter at the beginning of their careers.
The seminar aimed to enhance students’ awareness of career opportunities in the legal field and assist them in early planning for their professional futures, thereby facilitating a smooth transition from university life to professional practice.
