Under the patronage of the President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, the College of Dentistry at the Medical Sciences Center, Kuwait University, is organizing its 19th Annual Conference titled “Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry: Innovations in Academia and Clinical Applications.” The event will take place on Monday and Tuesday, 8–9 September, at the Medical Sciences Center Theatre in Kuwait University campus in Jabriya.

In this regard, Dr. Rashed Al-Azmi, Acting Dean of the College of Dentistry, emphasized that the upcoming conference comes in light of the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, which directly impact dental education and research. He affirmed that the conference aims to equip academics, clinicians, and researchers with the knowledge and tools necessary to harness these technologies in enhancing learning outcomes—aligning with the demands of dentistry’s future. He stressed that adopting AI technologies is no longer a luxury or optional, but rather essential to remain at the forefront of the field—through improved diagnostics, treatment planning, and learning outcomes.

Meanwhile, Dr. Asmaa Al-Yahya, Acting Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs and Head of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, noted that the conference will host four international and four local speakers, making it an ideal platform for linking academic innovation with practical implementation. It offers participants an opportunity to understand how these technologies contribute to enhancing patient care and improving clinical performance by providing the knowledge and tools needed to apply AI across dentistry—from diagnosis and treatment to scientific research. She further explained that the conference will include two hands-on workshops in both Arabic and English over two days. Registration will open in early September via the website www.linktr.ee/dentistry_ku. It should be noted that workshop seats are limited and allocated based on registration order.
