Kuwait University’s College of Education Organizes a Student Exhibition for “Psychology of Creativity” Course Innovations

The College of Education at Kuwait University organized a student exhibition showcasing the innovations and inventions of students enrolled in the "Psychology of Creativity" course, as part of the activities marking World Innovation and Intellectual Property Day. The event was held under the generous sponsorship of the Public Authority for Youth and with the patronage and presence of the Acting Dean of the College, Prof. Essa Al-Balhan, as well as under the supervision of the Department of Educational Psychology, chaired by Dr. Ghada Khaled Eid.

The exhibition was held under the supervision of Dr. Amthal Al-Aifan, expert in creativity and innovation, who explained that the exhibition translates the course outcomes into real-world projects and reflects the students' ability to apply creative thinking tools to solve societal challenges in innovative and practical ways.

The exhibition featured evaluations by a specialized judging panel that included representatives from the Copyright Sector at the Kuwait National Library, the Kuwaiti Inventors Society, the Research Sector at the Public Authority for Youth, and several faculty members from the College of Education. The panel praised the high quality of the projects and the diversity of creative ideas presented by the students.

In his speech, Prof. Essa Al-Balhan affirmed that Kuwait University is proud to be a nurturing environment for the creativity of its members. He praised the impact of the “Psychology of Creativity” course in instilling a spirit of innovation in students and encouraging them to approach challenges with thoughtful and creative solutions. He also emphasized the importance of protecting their intellectual property and encouraging them to officially register their innovations.

The event concluded with the honoring of the sponsoring body and the awarding of the winners of the “Best Innovative Student Project” competition. Student Hind Jasem won first place, Retaj Al-Murshad took second place, and Jude Yousef came in third.
