Under the patronage of the Acting Dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences at the Health Sciences Center, Prof. Mohammad Shaaban Nadar, the Department of Radiologic Sciences held its annual celebration on the occasion of World Radiology Day, marking more than 130 years since the discovery of X-rays.
The Chair of the Department of Radiologic Sciences and head of the organizing committee for this event, Dr. Raed Al-Saeed, stated that this activity is part of the student-centered events that the department is keen to organize each academic year for its students.
He added that the event aims to introduce the various radiographic examinations in both diagnostic and nuclear sectors. The program also included an introductory lecture on the history of radiology in the State of Kuwait, in addition to a visual presentation highlighting the history of the department.
