Under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nader Abdullah Al-Jallal, and in the presence of Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Al-Mutawa representing President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, the Engineering Training and Alumni Center at the College of Engineering and Petroleum – Kuwait University launched the 48th Engineering Design Exhibition, supported by Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS). The event was attended by Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Prof. Khaled Al-Hazzaa, as well as exhibition sponsors, guests from outside the university, university officials, heads of academic departments, faculty members, and students. The exhibition took place on July 2–3, 2025, at the Northern Campus of the College of Engineering and Petroleum in Sabah Al-Salem University City.
On this occasion, Prof. Khaled Al-Hazzaa expressed his pride in the College's graduates, who have contributed significantly to Kuwait’s development. He emphasized that the Engineering Design Exhibition serves as an important platform for creativity and innovation, helping advance the engineering sector and inspiring students towards leadership. He also extended his gratitude to KFAS and all strategic sponsors for their pivotal role in supporting young talents.
For his part, Dr. Esam Al-Ruqbah, Director of the Engineering Training and Alumni Center, stated that this year’s exhibition featured the participation of 233 engineering students presenting 59 innovative projects from the College’s various academic departments. He noted that the support from KFAS continues to be a driving force behind the exhibition's success and in elevating the capabilities of graduates.
At the conclusion of the exhibition, the winners of the KFAS Award for Best Engineering Projects in each academic department were announced, as follows:

The exhibition concluded with a special recognition of Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, in appreciation of its leading role in supporting the Engineering Design Exhibition since its inception. Strategic sponsors were also honored for enabling students to apply their academic knowledge in real-world contexts and for enhancing an academic environment that fosters creativity and excellence. Attendees expressed pride in the outstanding level demonstrated by the student projects, reaffirming their continued support for the future of engineering education at Kuwait University.
