Strengthening Ties in Student Exchange and Joint Cultural Programs

 

Prof. Osama Al-Omair, Vice President for Planning and Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs at Kuwait University, received H.E. Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Kuwait, on the morning of Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Sabah Al-Salem University City.

The two parties discussed frameworks for academic cooperation aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Kuwait University and Tajikistan’s universities, with the goal of enhancing academic and scientific attainment by expanding prospects for future scientific and cultural collaboration.

At the outset, Prof. Al-Omair welcomed H.E. the Ambassador, noting that the meeting comes as part of Kuwait University’s ongoing efforts to build partnerships with academic institutions around the world. These partnerships are meant to promote academic collaboration in areas such as student exchange, joint research, and shared cultural programs, all of which contribute to advancing knowledge and academic development between the two countries. He further explained that discussions included aspects of student exchange covered under mutual memoranda of understanding, aiming to cultivate student talent and explore the latest scientific and academic developments.

In the same context, H.E. Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Kuwait, expressed his deep pride and appreciation for visiting Sabah Al-Salem University City, affirming Tajikistan’s commitment to expanding the scope of mutual and joint cooperation. He emphasized that this can be achieved through joint academic programs and by increasing the number of scholarships granted to Tajik students, thereby enhancing both academic and research capacities.
