
The Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs and Vice President for Planning at Kuwait University, Prof. Osama Al-Omair, received His Excellency Dr. Arsen Arakelyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the State of Kuwait, on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Sabah Al-Salem University City.
The two parties discussed the frameworks of academic cooperation aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations between Kuwait University and Armenian universities. The meeting focused on expanding prospects for future scientific and cultural collaboration, in addition to exploring aspects of student exchange between the two sides with the goal of promoting cultural exchange and gaining insight into the latest scientific and academic developments.
In this regard, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs and Vice President for Planning, Prof. Osama Al-Omair, welcomed His Excellency the Ambassador to Sabah Al-Salem University City, noting that the meeting comes within the framework of reviewing the latest academic updates and scientific and research developments. He also emphasized the importance of exploring ways to strengthen academic cooperation, particularly in areas related to student exchange and joint research collaboration.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Arsen Arakelyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the State of Kuwait, expressed his great pride and appreciation for visiting this prestigious academic institution. He affirmed the Republic of Armenia’s keenness—through its Ministry of Education—to enhance mutual communication and cooperation with Kuwait University through joint academic programs and by providing more scholarships for Armenian students to advance their academic and research pursuits.
