Kuwait University Welcomes the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Discuss Strengthening Academic and Research Cooperation

The Vice President for Planning and Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs at Kuwait University, Prof. Osama Al-Omair, received His Excellency Mr. Ali Ben Issa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the State of Kuwait, on the morning of Wednesday, July 8, 2025, at Sabah Al-Salem University City. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Mabkhout Al-Dousari, Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration and Consultation.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance academic and research cooperation between Kuwait University and Moroccan universities. They reviewed a proposed Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening future scientific and cultural collaboration and explored opportunities for student exchange to promote cultural engagement and keep pace with the latest academic and scientific developments.

Prof. Al-Omair welcomed the Ambassador and affirmed his support for memoranda of understanding that contribute to deeper cooperation between the two parties. He noted that Kuwait University already has a student exchange program in place and is working to expand it to include additional brotherly and friendly countries at various academic levels.

For his part, Ambassador Ali Ben Issa expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and emphasized that his visit aims to explore avenues of cooperation between Moroccan universities and Kuwait University, in support of strengthening academic ties between the two countries.
