Kuwait University, represented by the College of Science and the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Sabah Al-Salem University City, welcomed around 100 secondary school students as part of the Science Generation Summer Program for Secondary School Students 2026, organized by Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS).

The program aims to introduce secondary school students to scientific and research fields while providing them with the opportunity to engage with distinguished researchers and academics. It seeks to broaden their scientific horizons, help them explore various academic disciplines, and support them in planning their future academic and professional paths.

The visit included tours of several academic departments within the College of Science and the College of Engineering and Petroleum. Students visited the Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry Group in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, under the supervision of Prof. Intisar Saad Al-Hatlani. They also explored the Molecular Biology Program in the Department of Biological Sciences, supervised by Dr. Nasma Khaled Bastaki.

At the College of Engineering and Petroleum, students participated in scientific workshops hosted by the Department of Electrical Engineering and presented by Dr. Mohammad Wael Baidas, as well as the Department of Mechanical Engineering, where workshops were led by Dr. Abdulaziz Yousef Shamsah. These sessions provided students with valuable insight into a range of scientific and engineering disciplines and their practical applications.

The visit reflects the ongoing collaboration between Kuwait University and Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, strengthening the partnership between the two institutions and supporting the nation's scientific development through the preparation of future generations and the enrichment of their academic knowledge across various fields of science and innovation.
