Kuwait University Organizes a Workshop Entitled “Best Practices in Remote Exam Proctoring Using Respondus Monitor” on April 6

Kuwait University announced the organization of an online training workshop titled “Best Practices in Remote Exam Proctoring Using Respondus Monitor on iPad, Windows, and macOS”, presented by Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Mutawa, Vice President for Academic Support Services, on Monday, April 6, 2026, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to develop the electronic assessment system and enhance the effectiveness of digital exam monitoring tools.

The university explained in a statement that the workshop aims to enable academic staff to use the Respondus Monitor system efficiently by learning the mechanisms for activating automated and live proctoring of electronic exams and the steps for running the system on different operating systems, ensuring exam integrity and achieving academic fairness in remote learning environments.

The workshop will include explaining the difference between automated and live proctoring, best practices in using Microsoft Teams, along with reviewing key technical challenges and ways to address them, in addition to providing a set of guidelines that help improve the quality of electronic exams and enhance their reliability.

The university indicated that organizing this workshop comes as part of a series of training courses conducted by the university under the current circumstances in the country, which have necessitated the shift to remote learning, thereby enhancing the university’s readiness and ensuring the continuity of the educational process efficiently and smoothly.
