
Kuwait University, represented by the Volunteering and Scouting Activities Department within the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a special Ramadan initiative in collaboration with the Kuwait Food and Relief Bank, aiming to distribute 300 food baskets to university workers. The event took place on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 2:30 PM next to the Cultural Center Building in the Al-Shadadiya campus.
This initiative stems from the university’s mission to promote values of generosity and social solidarity, with the Deanship of Student Affairs committed each year to organizing activities that foster a spirit of cooperation and unity among members of the university community.
In this context, Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jassem Al-Hamdan, emphasized the university's strong commitment to social responsibility, noting that such Ramadan initiatives reflect Kuwait University’s dedication to instilling a culture of charity and volunteerism among students.
Prof. Al-Hamdan stated, “In this blessed month, we continue our efforts by distributing 300 food baskets—a step that embodies the spirit of solidarity within our university community and promotes a culture of giving.” He extended his sincere thanks to all the student volunteers, the Volunteering and Scouting Activities Department, and everyone who contributed to the success of this initiative, praying that these efforts will be rewarded.
He further affirmed the university’s eagerness to sustain such initiatives, which reflect the noble values the university strives to instill in its students, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and social solidarity in nurturing a sense of civic responsibility among youth.
