Kuwait University has announced that it will organize its annual Orientation Forum for Newly Admitted Students for the 2026–2027 academic year under the theme "A Conscious Academic Start Toward Excellence", under the patronage of Kuwait University President, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem. The forum will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Sabah Al-Salem University City.
The Acting Dean of Student Affairs at Kuwait University, Dr. Salem Matroud Al-Shammari, stated that the forum aims to prepare newly admitted students for the transition to university life and equip them to begin their academic journey on a solid foundation that supports success and excellence. He added that the forum serves as an important starting point in students' university journey by introducing them to the university environment and its colleges, raising their awareness of university regulations and policies, and familiarizing them with their rights, responsibilities, and the services provided by the University from the very first day of enrollment. These efforts contribute to helping students integrate smoothly into university life.
Dr. Al-Shammari further explained that the forum program will feature the participation of several University departments and specialized centers. The Academic Guidance Administration will deliver an introductory presentation on the academic journey and how students can benefit from academic guidance services. In addition, the Al-Khwarizmi Information Technology Training Center and the E-Learning Center will conduct training workshops introducing students to the electronic platforms and systems used throughout their university studies. The Security and Safety Department will also participate by raising students' awareness of campus security and safety procedures. Furthermore, newly admitted students will be able to obtain their university ID cards during the forum.
Dr. Al-Shammari emphasized that the forum is part of the Deanship of Student Affairs' ongoing efforts to enhance its guidance and awareness programs, with the aim of providing a supportive and motivating university environment while preparing students to achieve academic excellence and actively engage in university life.
