Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem: We Are Proud of Our Students Who Presented an Honorable Image at the Second GCC Sports Tournament for Female University Students

The President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, honored the Kuwait University female students who participated in the Second GCC Sports Tournament for Female Students of Universities and Higher Education Institutions, praising the distinguished level they demonstrated during their participation in the championship, which was hosted by Hamad Bin Khalifa University in the State of Qatar from 6 to 11 February 2026.

The University President expressed her pride and appreciation for Kuwait University’s female students, affirming that they raised the University’s name high among 16 GCC universities and higher education institutions. She noted that Kuwait University’s achievement of fourth place in the overall standings represents an accomplishment that reflects determination, perseverance, and a strong sense of belonging. She added that “a sound mind resides in a sound body,” emphasizing the University’s belief that sports activities form an integral part of university identity and contribute to building balanced leadership personalities capable of representing the nation at various forums. She further stated: “You are role models and exemplary figures for your fellow students.”

She also affirmed that participation itself is a victory, as the students went through the experience with a high sporting spirit and left a distinguished mark at the GCC level, expressing her aspiration for achieving more medals and advanced rankings in future participations.
