Kuwait University inaugurated the College of Law Library at Sabah Al-Salem University City. The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice President of Kuwait University for Academic Support Services, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutawa, representing the President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem. Also in attendance were the Acting Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Abdulrahman Al-Radwan, along with a number of university leaders and members of the academic and administrative staff.
On this occasion, Dr. Al-Mutawa stated that the College of Law Library is one of the most distinguished legal libraries in the region, having been established in 1967. He expressed his pleasure at its reopening in the College’s new building at Sabah Al-Salem University City, noting that it will contribute to supporting educational and research activities while providing an advanced knowledge environment for students and researchers.
Dr. Al-Mutawa also commended the efforts of those involved in the project from the Academic Support Services Sector, Community Service, and Libraries Department, particularly Dr. Hamed Al-Fraih, Assistant Vice President for Academic Support Services, Community Service, and Libraries, for their dedication in equipping the library and enhancing its services.
For his part, the Acting Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Abdulrahman Al-Radwan, expressed his delight at the library’s reopening in its new form. He emphasized that the library houses a diverse collection of legal books, references, and scholarly journals in French, Arabic, and English, thereby enriching the resources available to students and researchers and supporting their academic pursuits.
The inauguration of the library reflects Kuwait University’s commitment to developing academic support services and strengthening the educational and research environment, in line with its strategic pillars of quality, innovation, and institutional excellence.
