Kuwait University Receives the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Discuss Academic and Research Cooperation

The Vice President for Planning and Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs at Kuwait University, Prof. Osama Al-Omair, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the State of Kuwait and Accredited Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, Major General Sayed Tariq Hussain, on the morning of Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Sabah Al-Salem University City. The meeting was attended by the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs for Academic Development, Prof. Huda Mahmoud Abdullah. The cordial visit held discussions on the latest academic and research developments, aiming to strengthen cultural and knowledge exchange between the two countries.

In this context, Prof. Osama Al-Omair emphasized that the visit came as part of efforts to review the latest academic updates and scientific research developments, in addition to exploring ways to enhance academic cooperation under the Memorandum of Understanding between Kuwait University and public universities in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh concerning research and academic collaboration, as well as student exchange. The meeting included a review of the various perspectives between the two countries.

Similarly, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the State of Kuwait and Accredited Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, Major General Sayed Tariq Hussain, expressed his pleasure and pride in visiting Kuwait University as part of efforts to advance the academic and research fields, hoping for further fruitful academic cooperation between Kuwait University and public universities in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
