Engineer Aya Eisa, a graduate student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, received the Best Paper Award for her research titled “Nano-Enhanced Phase Change Materials (NePCM) for Thermal Storage in Buildings”

The College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University participated in the International Conference on Advanced Materials for Sustainable Energy Technologies AMSET 2025, hosted by Sunway University in Malaysia from 13 to 14 November 2025.

The research team—comprising Dr. Ammar Bahman, Principal Investigator, Department of Mechanical Engineering – Kuwait University, Dr. Nasser Al-Sayegh, Co-Investigator – Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research KISR, Eng. Neira Al-Helou, Research Assistant – Kuwait University, and Eng. Aya Eisa, Graduate Student – Kuwait University—presented four peer-reviewed scientific papers at the conference as part of a collaborative effort between the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kuwait University and the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), in addition to international research partnerships and with support from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS).

This accomplishment stands as a testament to the quality of research output and the excellence of students from the College of Engineering and Petroleum. It reflects Kuwait University’s pioneering role in the fields of sustainable energy and advanced materials, highlights their scientific, research, and societal contributions, and supports the empowerment and development of student competencies in alignment with Kuwait’s national development vision.

At the conclusion of the conference, the organizers praised the distinguished presence of Kuwait University through its scientific papers, session management, and participation in the organizing committees.
