Receiving the L’Oréal–UNESCO For Women in Science Award 2024 by Prof. Entesar Al-Hetlani of the College of Science and Her Recognition in Dubai

Prof. Entesar Al-Hetlani, a faculty member in the College of Science at Kuwait University, has received the 2024 L’Oréal–UNESCO For Women in Science Award. The award was presented during a ceremony held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. Sarah bint Yousif Al-Amiri, Minister of State for Education in the United Arab Emirates. The event was also attended by Mr. Laurent Duffier, Managing Director of L’Oréal Middle East, and Mr. Khaled Salah, Director of the UNESCO Office for the Gulf States and Yemen.
This award is considered one of the most prominent honors supporting Arab women researchers in the Gulf States and Yemen, as it recognizes their scientific efforts and contributions across various fields of research.
With this achievement, Prof. Entesar Al-Hetlani becomes the seventh scholar from the State of Kuwait to receive this award since its inception in 2011.
