In Support of Persons with Disabilities and the Enhancement of Their Standing within the University Community, Kuwait University Hosts an Exhibition for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Kuwait University, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Youth, organized an exhibition marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities at the College of Arts – South Campus, on Wednesday, 10 December, at 10:00 a.m.

The opening ceremony was attended by Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jassim Al-Hamdan, and Acting Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Abdulmohsen Al-Tabtabaei. The exhibition featured the participation of specialized organizations concerned with persons with disabilities, as well as several schools that presented introductory activities and awareness booths aimed at highlighting the services provided to persons with disabilities and promoting their inclusion within society.

Through the Deanship of Student Affairs—represented by the Social Care Administration, Persons with Disabilities Department—Kuwait University is keen to organize such exhibitions and events that support persons with disabilities and enhance their role and status within the university community, stemming from its commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

At 12:00 pm, a panel discussion entitled “A Success Story” was held, featuring several persons with disabilities who shared their personal experiences and achievements. The speakers highlighted the challenges they faced and emphasized the positive impact of academic and community support in their empowerment and fostering their success.
