The Faculty of Dentistry honored the winners of the Hutton Kuwait Student Research Competition for the academic year 2025/2026. The ceremony was attended by the Acting Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Rashed Al-Azemi; the current President of the Kuwait Division of the International Association for Dental Research (KUADR), Dr. Mariam Al-Kheder; the Acting Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, Dr. Mona Al-Sane; the Acting Assistant Dean for Student and Academic Affairs, Dr. Manal Abu Al-Melh; and the incoming President of the Kuwait Division of the International Association for Dental Research, Dr. Mohammad Qalli.
Dr. Mariam Al-Kheder stated that 24 male and female students participated in this year’s competition, forming six groups. The first-place award was won by students Hadeel Al-Abdulhadi, Aseel Abu Ruzq, and Razan Al-Arifi. Second place was awarded to Fatima Ali, Ali Al-Qallaf, Khaled Al-Ghanem, and Saleh Hajieh, while third place went to Sundus Al-Shammari, Doha Al-Duwaihi, Dima Al-Ajmi, and Fatima Al-Jasmi.
Dr. Al-Kheder further noted that the team winning first place in the local competition will represent the State of Kuwait at the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) global competition, scheduled to be held next year in Melbourne, Australia.
