Kuwait University held a coordination meeting on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, to explore areas of cooperation in cloud computing and artificial intelligence, as part of its ongoing efforts to develop its technological ecosystem and enhance the efficiency of digital services provided to academic and administrative units.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Najeeb Al-Marzouk, Assistant Vice President for Academic Support Services for Information Technology; Sheikh Mohammed Al-Malik Al-Sabah, Director of the Kuwait Artificial Intelligence Association; Eng. Maha Al-Qadoumi, Director of the Al-Khawarizmi IT Training Center for; and Ms. Samia Ismail, Center Supervisor.
Discussions focused on the Empowerment Program in collaboration with the (CSS) team, in addition to reviewing technological solutions in the fields of cloud computing and artificial intelligence applications. These included advanced capabilities that support innovation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance institutional performance, as well as aspects related to operational benefits, total cost of ownership, and return on investment, enabling the evaluation of technological solutions in line with the University’s current and future needs.
Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships and coordination with specialized entities, and exchanging expertise in the field of digital transformation, in a manner that contributes to developing technical infrastructure and supporting Kuwait University’s modernization efforts.
