On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, President of Kuwait University, received H.E. Dr. Saleh bin Amer Al-Kharousi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Kuwait, along with Mr. Shehab bin Salem Al-Rawwas, Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Head of Mission, Ms. Majeda bint Amer Al-Rashdi, First Secretary for Consular and Cultural Affairs, and the accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Prof. Noura Al-Suwaih, Vice President for Health Sciences and Acting Secretary-General of Kuwait University, and was held at Sabah Al-Salem University City.

The visit aimed to explore avenues for academic cooperation and the exchange of scientific and cultural expertise between Kuwait University and higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to reviewing opportunities for developing joint relations and enhancing academic communication between both sides.

During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation between universities in Kuwait and Oman, facilitating procedures for cultural scholarship students, and developing educational and research programs. The discussion also highlighted the need to strengthen student and academic exchange opportunities and to promote the role of universities in supporting community service and advancing scientific development.
