In line with efforts to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation and to discuss the preparation of a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Abdulrahman Al-Sulaili, received a delegation from the Cultural Office of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the State of Kuwait, headed by Prof. Amina Abu Al-Makarim, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Sabah Al-Salem University City.

During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues for cooperation in higher education and scientific research, the exchange of academic expertise, and joint coordination in scientific and research programs. Discussions also covered enhancing collaboration in scholarships, faculty exchange, and the organization of scientific events, in support of the educational and research processes at both institutions.

Prof. Abdulrahman Al-Sulaili affirmed Kuwait University’s commitment to strengthening its academic partnerships with Egyptian educational institutions, praising the role of the Cultural Office in supporting academic and scientific cooperation.

For her part, Prof. Amina Abu Al-Makarim expressed her appreciation for the warm reception and affirmed the Cultural Office’s readiness to provide the necessary support to ensure the successful preparation and activation of the Memorandum of Understanding in a manner that serves mutual interests.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue coordination in the coming phase and to work toward developing a clear framework for the Memorandum of Understanding, thereby strengthening academic and scientific relations between the State of Kuwait and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
