Kuwait University Finance and Financial Institutions Students at the College of Business Administration Win CFA Research Challenge

As part of Kuwait University’s ongoing pursuit of academic excellence and its leadership in cultivating financial talent, the Department of Finance and Financial Institutions at the College of Business Administration at Kuwait University has achieved a distinguished academic milestone following its team winning first place nationally in the CFA Research Challenge for the academic season of 2025/2026, in a strong competition that included four local universities.
This achievement comes within the framework of the annual competition organized by the CFA Institute, one of the world’s most prominent academic contests in financial analysis and investment research. The department’s students demonstrated a high level of professionalism and competence in preparing financial studies and analyses.
As a result of this accomplishment, Kuwait University team has qualified to represent the State of Kuwait in the regional round, which will be held in the Arab Republic of Egypt. There, they will compete against teams from across the Middle East and North Africa, with winning teams advancing to the global finals in New York.
This success reflects the active academic and educational role of the Department of Finance and Financial Institutions in supporting students and preparing them both academically and practically, through intensive academic supervision and the development of financial research and analytical skills—contributing to strengthening the standing of the college and the university in international academic forums.
This accomplishment represents a significant addition to the record of achievements of the College of Business Administration at Kuwait University and reaffirms the department’s leadership in preparing highly qualified national professionals in the fields of finance and investment.
