ِAs Part of Kuwait University’s Strategy to Achieve Academic Excellence, Students of the College of Engineering and Petroleum Participate in International Engineering Conferences in Sydney

In line with Kuwait University’s pursuit of academic and global excellence, the university, represented by the Engineering Training and Alumni Center at the College of Engineering and Petroleum and under the sponsorship of Kuwait Investment Company, participated through a team of students from the College of Engineering and Petroleum in two international engineering conferences held in Sydney, Australia.

This participation aims to fulfill Kuwait University’s vision of supporting students and encouraging their creativity and innovation, in addition to strengthening the university’s presence in international scientific forums, thereby contributing to elevating Kuwait’s standing in global research and engineering fields.

The team included Eng. Aseel Al-Hajri from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Eng. Abdulmohsen Al-Ghanem from the Department of Computer Engineering, and Eng. Dalia Al-Rudaini from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kuwait University, in addition to Eng. Omar Oudah from the Department of Computer Engineering at Gulf University of Science and Technology.

The students participated in the Space Generation Congress, where they engaged in an intensive two-day workshop in collaboration with a team from the European Space Agency, discussing space debris, its major challenges, and its future impacts.

The team also presented a research paper and a presentation at the 76th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2025) held in Sydney, Australia, on their project K-SATR. This project, which won at the Kuwait Space Hackathon, aims to develop innovative solutions to support sustainable space applications.
