In an academic atmosphere imbued with warmth and optimism, Kuwait University held its annual gathering to mark the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, at the Conference Center in Sabah Al-Salem University City. The event was attended by the President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, along with university leaders, deans of colleges, faculty members, administrative staff, as well as students and employees from across the university’s colleges and work centers.

The gathering served as an important occasion to reaffirm the university’s enduring commitment to knowledge and learning, and to emphasize its mission of preparing conscious generations capable of addressing challenges.

On this occasion, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, President of Kuwait University, expressed her delight at organizing such a cordial gathering, which reflects the strong bonds uniting the university community. She affirmed that as the university opens its doors today, it simultaneously opens wide horizons for research and knowledge, nurturing individuals capable of creativity and of serving the nation.

Prof. Al-Mailem commended the great efforts exerted by the faculty members, teaching assistants, and administrative staff to advance the educational system in line with the aspirations and vision of the State of Kuwait 2035. She emphasized the university’s determination to make this year a year of distinction, in which potential is translated into achievements.
