To Support Institutional Cooperation in Higher Education, Specialized Training, and Exchange of Expertise Kuwait University Activates Memorandum of Understanding with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council

As part of activating the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Kuwait University and the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, received a delegation from the GCC General Secretariat in the presence of the University’s Vice Presidents and their Assistants, on Tuesday morning, 10 February 2026, at Sabah Al-Salem University City.
This meeting reaffirms the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 13 November 2024. The visiting delegation was headed by Brigadier General (Law) Prof. Rashed Mohammed Al-Marri, Head of the GCC Emergency Management Center (State of Kuwait Branch), accompanied by several members of the delegation. Discussions during the meeting focused on mechanisms to enhance joint cooperation and activate programs and initiatives stemming from the MoU in the fields of education, training, research, and scientific studies.
The Memorandum of Understanding falls within the framework of institutional cooperation in higher education, specialized training, scientific studies, and research, in addition to organizing seminars, workshops, and joint programs that contribute to enhancing the efficiency of national cadres, strengthening institutional readiness, and promoting the exchange of expertise and successful practices at both the academic and research levels. The MoU also contributes to achieving shared objectives and reinforcing scientific and knowledge integration among educational institutions across the GCC member states.
