As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic relations at the research and scientific levels, The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Kuwait

The Acting Vice President of Kuwait University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Abdulrahman Al-Sulaili, received a delegation from the sisterly Republic of Uzbekistan, represented by Ambassador Ayubkhon Yunusov and Counsellor Berham Turd Aliyev of the Embassy of Uzbekistan to the State of Kuwait. The meeting was attended by the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs for Academic Development, Prof. Huda Mahmoud, on Tuesday, 6 January 2025, at Sabah Al-Salem University City.

The visit came as a continuation of discussions aimed at enhancing academic cooperation between Kuwait University and the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, during which talks addressed student exchange programs, scholarships for students to study the Arabic language at Kuwait University, as well as opportunities for research and scientific exchange between the two universities.

In a related context, Prof. Al-Sulaili conveyed Kuwait University’s interest in and commitment to scholarship students, and its desire to strengthen academic relations with students from the sisterly Republic of Uzbekistan. He noted that the frameworks for cooperation between Kuwait University and higher education institutions in sisterly countries are governed by the applicable regulations and bylaws.
