The Department of Health Informatics and Information Management at the College of Allied Health Sciences organized a celebratory event marking Health Informatics and Information Management Day, in conjunction with the activities of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), under the theme “HI in AI: Artificial Intelligence in Health Informatics.”
On this occasion, the Vice Dean for Research and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Ilham Al-Dosari, affirmed that the event aims to highlight distinguished student projects from both current students and alumni. The exhibition featured a select group of the department’s graduates, in whom the College takes great pride, alongside continuing students who are still pursuing their academic studies.
Dr. Al-Dosari further emphasized that the event reflects the integration of academic education with practical application and underscores the significance of health informatics and artificial intelligence in shaping the future of the healthcare sector in the State of Kuwait. She also noted the valuable participation of several governmental and private sector entities, most notably the Ministry of Health and the Kuwait Military Hospital, through dedicated informational booths showcasing the role of technology and artificial intelligence in advancing healthcare services and enhancing the quality of care. She concluded by expressing her wishes for continued success and achievement for all participants.
