President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, chaired the University Council’s fourth meeting (No. 04/2025) on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, held in the University Council Meeting Hall at Sabah Al-Salem University City, in the presence of Council members.
At the outset, the President of Kuwait University extended congratulations on the start of the 2025/2026 academic year and welcomed the attendees to the Council’s fourth meeting, convened to discuss a number of items on the agenda.
The University Council approved the minutes of meeting No. (03/2025), which was held on August 3, 2025.
In a statement following the meeting, Acting Secretary General of Kuwait University and Official Spokesperson, Prof. Nourah Al-Suwaih, announced that the University Council had approved authorizing the University President to form committees responsible for selecting deans of colleges and specialized deanships. The Council also approved the scholarship plan for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Prof. Al-Suwaih further stated that the Council had approved three student exchange agreements and two memoranda of understanding, including agreements between Kuwait University and Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University in France, Goethe University Frankfurt in Germany, Rennes School of Business in France, and IE University in Spain.
Additionally, the Council also approved a memorandum of understanding between Kuwait University and the Queen Rania Teacher Academy in Jordan, as well as a memorandum of understanding between Kuwait University and Al-Jarida Newspaper.
