President of Kuwait University Receives the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Nigeria to Discuss Enhancing Cooperation in Student Exchange

With the aim of developing student exchange programs between Kuwait University and Nigerian educational institutions
The President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, welcomed the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the State of Kuwait, H.E. Ambassador Murtala Jimoh, at Sabah Al-Salem University City on the morning of Thursday, 4 December 2025. The official visit aimed to discuss avenues of academic cooperation and the development of student exchange programs between Kuwait University and Nigerian educational institutions. The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the President of Kuwait University and Acting Assistant Secretary-General for Facilities Management Affairs, Mr. Mohammed Saud Al-Sulaiman.
During the meeting, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem affirmed Kuwait University’s commitment to expanding its educational partnerships with friendly countries and activating student exchange programs that enable students to benefit from diverse academic and cultural environments. She emphasized that such programs enrich students’ educational experiences and support cultural exchange between both sides.
In a related context, the Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs and Vice President for Planning, Prof. Osama Al-Omair, received H.E. the Ambassador and the accompanying official delegation, in the presence of: Dr. Sulaiman Al-Rafee, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs for Evaluation and Measurement; Dr. Majed Abdulrazzaq Majid, Assistant Vice President for University Site Planning; and Dr. Mishari Al-Nahedh, Assistant Vice President for Strategic Planning. The meeting included a review of prospects for cooperation in student exchange and training programs, in addition to a presentation on the state-of-the-art infrastructure of Sabah Al-Salem University City and its advanced educational facilities and laboratories.
Prof. Al-Omair expressed the University’s aspiration to build effective educational partnerships with Nigerian institutions, with a focus on student exchange and the development of students’ competencies, opening new horizons for joint academic initiatives and programs.
For his part, Ambassador Murtala Jimoh praised the progress witnessed in Kuwait University’s academic development, affirming his country’s interest in strengthening cooperation with the University through student exchange programs and joint educational and training projects that contribute to preparing distinguished scientific cadres and reinforcing future collaboration between both sides.
